Student Visa in Germany:-

If a scholarship has not been awarded to the student, they have to produce proper proof of their financial resources in order to apply for the visa. The student visas take up to 25 days to be processed whereas other German visas are processed within 3 months.

Types of Student Visas

German Student Visa- This is the standard visa that is given to students who are ready to start their education at their new university.
German Student Applicant Visa- This visa does not allow anyone to actually study in Germany but is required if someone wants to apply to a university in person.
German Language Course Visa- This visa is required to pursue a German language course in Germany.
Schengen Visa- This if for students whose studies last up to 3 months.
German National Visa-This is for students whose studies last over 3 months.

Two photocopies of passport.
Marriage certificate(if applicable).

Applying for Student Residence Permit in Germany:

A permanent accommodation has to be found by the student within a week of their arrival in Germany. A certificate of registration will then be awarded to the student. The student has to produce a valid national passport or national ID card, their rental contract and a letter confirming their living address in order to get registered. The student will then have to officially enroll themselves in the university that they are going to study at by submitting a list of documents at the students’ affairs office.
